Do you ever feel like you neglect abstract ideas and objects. I do sometimes and that’s why I’ve decided to make this design in honor of the letter I mistreated.
Thoughtlessly forgetting the letter I, I designed the letter J today. I had a few ideas for this one, including deer, octopus, and jaguar, but I ended up going with gum balls. What was I thinking?
Only having time to make a drop cap today, I decided to make an H in a way that took much longer than I had planned for.
Ever laugh over the phrasing people use to say something? I do it all the time. The English language is full of quirks and phrases that wouldn’t work if we didn’t grow up with them. Ever fall in love with an aspect of a typeface and want to combine it with another typeface characteristic that you like? Well, today I played Frankenstein and combined the flourishes of old Western block lettering with the non-vertical axises of a variety of typefaces. Want to see what I created?
Today is another drop cap day and I for some reason was in the mood to make another weapon-themed letter. Why? I’m not sure but hopefully you and your merry men will like it anyway.
The last iteration of Under the Bleachers is a sad paradox: funny title but sad context. Hopefully some day we can all love the social outcasts.
Another attempt at the fictitious book, Under the Bleachers, I created a teen fiction version of Scooby-Doo.
Do you get almost tired of all the underdog stories that we read and watch? Even though they are always inspiring and make you want to go out and fulfill all your dreams come true, they do get repetitive at times. Today, I added to the repetition and made a book cover for yet another underdog story.
