Dala K
Kangaroo is the only word I can think of right now that starts with a K. Sorry. I guess the thesaurus part of my brain is on vacation right now. Either way, I made another drop cap today. While trying to come up with it, I started looking around my house for inspiration. After looking around my mom’s log cabin themed living room, I thought about using moose antlers for the K’s tails or the ends of canoes. Then looking in her nautical themed office, I was envisioning maps, boat wheels, and compass needles. Then I went into our laundry room where my mom keeps all her Swedish stuff. We have dala horses, dala chickens, pictures of vikings, prayers written in Swedish, and Swedish flags scattered around. After that I decided to make a dala K. What do you think?
