Stereotypes
So today I was talking to my girlfriend over Skype and she was wearing head phones. Then all of a sudden she decided to put her head phone cord over her upper lip in the shape of a fu man chu. I instantly thought of the Iron Man arch enemy, Mandarin. You know, the asian wizard with 10 rings that give him ultimate power. Its actually funny because if you look at each power, he really only needs one or two to totally obliterate Iron Man and yet he loses every time.
Anyway, after seeing her with her new short hair, fake fu man chu, and squinty face, I decided I just had to exaggerate and illustrate that face. Its not as exaggerated as my other drawings of my girlfriend but the character definitely doesn’t look too much like her. He reminds me of the Indian side kick in the old Johnny Quest cartoon.
